Matheran was developed by Governor Of Bombay Lord Elphinstone in the year 1850. British developed this place to spend some time during summers. Matheran is well known for heaviest rainfall and dense forest. Here in Matheran, you can experience the toy train ride. This is the only toy train service available in Maharashtra. Many of us don’t know that Matheran is no vehicle zone and pollution free town.
Nashik to Matheran distance: Matheran is located 166 Kms away from Nashik. There are no direct trains between Matheran and Nasik. So you need to use road transport to come directly. Another famous thing of Mahabaleshwar is its Strawberries. September To June is the best season to come here.

Nashik to Khandala distance: Nashik is 212 kilometers away from this spectacular destination. This journey requires 5 hours but railway is the better option.
