Bagore Ki Haveli is one of the most visited tourist attraction located in the heart of the Udaipur city. Udaipur is also known as the City of Lake and it is among the top 3 cities of Rajasthan state. Bagore Ki Haveli is a world-class museum situated on the right side of famous Pichola Lake. Originally, it was a palace of Prime Minister of Mewar in the eighteenth century. Nowadays this 250 years old monument is well known for the folk dance show and a puppet show. This ancient Mewar architecture is the ultimate destination for travelers to spend some quality time.

October To February is the best season to visit Bagore Ki Haveli. Try to avoid visiting in afternoon hours during summers. Evening folk dance show “Dharohar” is the memorable performance for visitors.

Entry is free for child below 5 years. The government of Rajasthan charges different entry fees for Indians and Foreigners. Visitors need to pay separate amounts for Haveli entrance fees and folk dance show tickets. Following are the details of Bagore Ki Haveli entry fees:

Bagore Ki Haveli Udaipur Information

Bagore Ki Haveli built in the year 1751. During the reigns of Maharanas Pratap Singh II, this haveli was the residence of his prime minister Amarchand Badwa. Amarchand lived here for around 27 years. After his death Maharanas one of the relative “Nath Singh” lived here for serveral years. In the year 1878 Maharaj Shakti Singh of Bagore reconstructed the Haveli.
It is situated on the Gangaur Ghat of Pichola lake. Recently it was featured in the Bollywood film Ram Leela.

Dharohar folk dance show is the biggest attraction for visitors. You can experience the many Rajasthani cultural dance forms like Bhavai Dance, Ghumar Dance, Gorbandh Dance, Chari Dance and the popular Terha Taal Dance are performed by local folk artists. Excellent performance of these local artists is really worth watching experience. Another event is Rajasthani Puppet Show which attracts the kids in huge number.

This property was remained in the possession of Mewar royal family until the year 1947. After independence, government took control of this building and it was used for residence of Rajasthan government employees. Nowadays it is maintained by West Zone Cultural Centre.

This spacious palace includes total 138 rooms with number of balconies and corridors. It has private rooms for the royal family ladies which decorated with Mewari style fine frescoes. There are separate rooms for worship and recreational activities. Spacious living rooms with the colorful glass windows and peacock design windows attracts you towards them.

We can see the gallery of some unique vintage items which are the symbols of Rajputana period. Some of symbols are hand fans, hookahs, jewellery boxes, copper vessels, dice-games, wooden pen boxes, rose water sprinklers, nut crackers.
