Matheran was developed by Governor Of Bombay Lord Elphinstone in the year 1850. British developed this place to spend some time during summers. Matheran is well known for heaviest rainfall and dense forest. Here in Matheran, you can experience the toy train ride. This is the only toy train service available in Maharashtra. Many of us don’t know that Matheran is no vehicle zone and pollution free town.
Nashik to Matheran distance: Matheran is located 166 Kms away from Nashik. There are no direct trains between Matheran and Nasik. So you need to use road transport to come directly. It is situated at the altitude of 1372 meters from the sea level. Magnificent mountains, Deep valleys, Smokey fog gives the incredible experience of the vacation. Another famous thing of Mahabaleshwar is its Strawberries. September To June is the best season to come here.
Nashik to Mahabaleshwar distance: It is situated at the distance of approx. 334 Kms from Nashik city. This long journey takes the time of around 8 hours to reach Mahabaleshwar. During travel try to spend at least one night in Pune which gives the feel of a long vacation to your family.
