Sariska Tiger Reserve is located in Alwar district of Rajasthan, India. Sarika national park is spread in the huge area of 866 kilometers and well known for a tiger safari. The major part of this wonderful wildlife park is covered with a tropical forest. It is popular among tourists and one can easily spot a tiger here. Perfect place to spend some quality time with your kids and family. In 1982, Government of India had declared it as a “National park“. It is situated around 108 Kilometers from the pink city Jaipur.

Note: Avoid visiting in afternoon during summers. The temperature ranges from 24 degrees to 37-degree Celsius during March to June. Always keep your cap, sunglasses and water bottle with you. Morning and Evening timings are perfect to spot the different wild animals.

Sariska Tiger Reserve Entry Fees / Ticket Price 2024

The entry fee has not been charged for Indian citizens on every Tuesday and Saturday. Visitors may use their own vehicles to roam here on those days. Following are the details of entry fees charged by authorities on other days for this national park:
Indians: Rs. 20 per person
Foreigners: Rs. 100 per person
Guide Fee: Rs. 50 per hour
Following are the details of Camera Charges:
Video Camera: Rs. 200 per camera
Professional Video Camera or Movie Camera: Rs. 3000 per camera
Short film Shoot: Rs. 20000 per film
Tourist may take their vehicles inside the park, but they need to pay parking charges or vehicle entrance fees as per follows:
Cycle: Rs. 5 per vehicle
Two Wheeler Vehicle (Bike): Rs. 15 per vehicle
Tonga: Rs. 20 per vehicle
Car: Rs. 125
Bus: Rs. 200
Visitors can hire a jeep for jeep safari. It costs Rs. 500 per vehicle.

This is the natural habitat for hundreds of wildlife species. It is also hugely popular as an abode of “Indian Tigers”. This was the first tiger reserve sanctuary in India. Apart from the tiger, animals like leopards, deer, hyenas, jungle cats, monkeys, wild dogs, chital, nilgai, sambhar etc. found here.
It is also an ultimate destination for many species of resident and migratory birds like Great Indian Horned Owl, Painted Stork, Pied Kingfisher, Pigeon, Quail, Francolin etc. India’s national bird “Peacock” is present here in large number. Reptiles like cobra, python, rat snake etc. can be easily seen.

This area is rich in natural mineral resources. In 90’s decade, it was known for copper mining. But in the year 1991, The supreme court of India had banned the copper mining. But still, marble mining is happening which causing a lot of damage to this wonderful natural park. In 1955, this park is declared as a wildlife reserve. Govt. of India had given the status of National park in the year 1982.
In 2008, three tigers had relocated from Ranthambore national park to Sariska Tiger Reserve. Two of three are young females while one is a young male tiger. According to 2014 counting, now Sariska is the home of total 13 tigers which include 7 females, 2 males and 4 cubs.

How To Reach Sariska Tiger Reserve of Rajasthan?

By Road: It is situated in the Alwar district of Rajasthan.The tiger reserve is around 110 kilometers from the state capital Jaipur and around 195 kilometers away from the capital of India, New Delhi. If you are staying in Alwar then you can easily get a private taxi to reach here. Government bus transport service is also available but we suggest you use a private taxi service. The distance between this national park and Alwar city center is around 36 kilometers.
By Train: The nearest railway station is Alwar junction. It is situated at the distance of 41 kilometers from here. You need to use road transport to reach here from Alwar junction. Alwar is connected with every big city of India by train network.
By Air: The nearest airport is Jaipur international airport. It is located around 110 kilometers from this wildlife sanctuary. It takes two and half hour to reach here by road.

September to March is the best time to visit this huge national park. During these month’s animals can be easily seen. You can also visit this in the morning hours during summers.
